Infinite Veneer has delivered ultra-modern and sleek washroom facilities to Citibank
The Project.
Citibank's mission is to serve as a trusted partner to their clients by responsibly providing financial services that enable growth and economic progress. The New York based company's London data centre is in Lewisham, where 1,000 employees work in data entry, technical suport, IT and account services.
The Challenge.
Originally completed almost 20 years ago, the washroom facilities in the five storey building were tired and in need of updating. Citibank needed to update their staff washrooms wih easy to maintain systems. As Citibank embarked on a mission to improve the sustainability of Riverdale Data Centre, they took the opportunity to upgrade their employee's existing facilities, including the washrooms.
The Solution.
Venesta's Infinite Veneer Full Height cubicles were specified in 'European Oak Crown Cut' for Citibank's Riverdale Data Centre. The ultimate in classic modernity, FSC MIX certified Infinite Veneer delivers sleek, clean lines, flush-fronts and minimalist fittings. The adjustable pedestals in satin anodised aluminium are set back on the partitions to give the cubicles a "floating" appearance.
With a minimal floor clearance of 20mm and a ceiling clearance of 30mm, Infinite Full Height cubicles offer Citibank’s staff maximum privacy while using their new washroom facilities.
The stainless steel lever operated slimline mortice lock indicator bolts offer quick emergency release from outside of the locked cubicles; so that no damage is done to the cubicles or locks in the event of an emergency.
Meeting Building Regulations’ guidelines, Citibank Riverdale Data Centre specified ambulant cubicles with outward opening doors and our satin stainless steel pull handles for ease of use.
Vepps WC, urinal and wall panelling was specified with ‘Gunmetal’ panels and ‘Porcelain’ flashgaps in Solid Grade Laminate (SGL), as well as SGL urinal modesty screens. SGL is impervious to water so can withstand heavy duty cleaning, which is required in busy washrooms such as these. By choosing Vepps, Citibank had extra peace of mind as each panel and the market-leading sanitaryware was pre-plumbed and rigorously tested in our manufacturing facility before being installed on site.
Not stopping there, modern and stylish solid surface wash troughs in ‘Everest’ were chosen to complement the rest of the washroom systems specified. With SGL under frames in matching ‘Porcelain’ laminate, this is a durable and hard wearing vanity solution for heavy usage washrooms.
Venesta Modern & Stylish Unity Cubicles Specified at ICON Outlet at The O2
The Project.
Spanning an impressive 210,000 square feet, ICON Outlet is The O2’s brand new urban outlet shopping centre, bringing together over 60 of the best fashion and lifestyle brands.
Home to many global brands including Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Sunglass Hut and Levi’s, the aim of the project was to provide visitors with access to contemporary, clean and durable washrooms.
The Challenge.
As this project was such a high profile and highly anticipated development, a prestigious washroom cubicle system was required to mirror the aesthetics of the centre.
With over 9 million people visiting The O2 a year, ICON Outlet required a robust washroom solution to withstand the demands of a high traffic environment, while being easy to clean and maintain.
Venesta were pleased to work alongside ISG and Wren Construction to provide male, female, baby and accessible washroom facilities.
The Solution.
ICON Outlet selected our ground-breaking pre-plumbed Vepps system, making regular duct maintenance effortless thanks to its linear-bearing hinge. Our 90 degree hinge removes the need to manually lift off and replace panels when carrying out maintenance work, which is inefficient and could cause the panels to become damaged or misaligned.
Vepps also makes it impossible for the public to access duct space, with specially engineered anti-tamper locks that can only be opened with a unique tool. Even without a lock, the join between panels is so flush that they can only be opened with the help of a suction lifter.
Meanwhile, our Unity cubicles were specified to meet the high demands of this new and exciting shopping centre. Unity’s clean, modern and minimal design was the perfect choice, offering a ‘floating’ flush front that makes a guaranteed impact.
The HPL cubicles supplied have a durable moisture resistant chipboard core, faced with high pressure laminate to accommodate daily cleaning requirements. Unity also offers anti-tamper, concealed stainless steel and satin anodised aluminium fittings, ensuring strength and security of the cubicles.
The Solid Surface vanities in “Vermont” gave the washroom facilities a contemporary look, while being functional and hard-wearing.
The sensor operated sanitaryware, including flushes and taps, not only increase the efficiency of these washrooms, as they require less maintenance than standard units, but also mean fewer germs are transferred. With less wear and tear, these “hands-free” systems can help prolong the lifespan of ICON Outlet’s washroom facilities.
